Tara Moreno BURTON — “Reporting the truth has always been important to me,” says Tara Moreno, who comes on board with The Burton View after years of writing for The University of Michigan-Flint's The Michigan Times and freelance writing for regional magazines and websites.

“Getting the truth out there so that the community can make sound decisions regarding their future is so important,” said Moreno.

Moreno also has been a well-received photographer for Michigan concerts and sporting events. She hopes to bring good, quality photojournalism to The

Burton View, as well as a fresh perspective.

In addition to writing and photography, Moreno volunteers at her daughter’s school by designing a yearbook page for her class.

“Using my talents to help out the school gives me a sense of satisfaction. It makes me happy," she said.

Moreno said she has been a published writer since 8 years old.

“Words have always been something I am passionate about,” she said. “I am ecstatic to be with a newspaper that honors my belief system in the story-telling I provide.” — VIEW Staff
