Memorial Day committee seeking nominations

BURTON — The 2012 Burton Memorial Day Parade Committee is currently looking for nominations for grand marshall and veteran of the year now through February.

Parade entries will now cost $25 and entry forms will be available online and at city hall.

The committee is also in the process of accepting new volunteers.

Magicians club meeting

BURTON — The Conjurors Club will meet at the Allstar Sports Bar Private Room Upstairs. 4312 S. Dort Hwy, Burton, on the fourth Thursday of every month. Dinner is at 6 p.m. the meeting is at 7 p.m. It is open to all with a sincere interest in the art of magic, all ages and skill levels welcome. Annual Mardi Gras Night

DAVISON — St. John the Evangelist Parish, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, announces its Annual All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner and Mardi Gras Night will be held Feb. 21, 2:30 p.m.–7 p.m. at the Parish Hall (450 Building). Tickets are available at the door: Adults $7; Seniors (age 65 and over) $6; Children (ages 4-10) $4; Toddler (3 & under) Free. Price includes all you can eat spaghetti with meat or meatless sauce, salad, garlic bread, coffee and tea. Listen to the jazz sounds of Kevin Fish and Company. Also available beginning early Tuesday morning (6 a.m.) a limited supply of fresh cannoli from Sterling Heights and Paczki (jelly filled) from Jablonski’s of Burton. — G.G.

Scrapbooking at St. John’s

DAVISON — St. John’s Moms Club will host a scrapbooking marathon at the St. John Parish Hall, April 20, from 4-10 p.m., and on April 21, from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

Take advantage of time/space to work on projects, the chance to shop at some of our on-site stores and special salon/massage services at the event. Meals are included and door prizes are awarded every hour. Costs are: St. John parishioners (Fri. $25, Sat. $45, both $60) and non-parishioners (Fri. $30, Sat. $50, both $70).
