BURTON — The 7th annual Burton & Davison Fire/Rescue golf open began registration this month.

The event starts at 9 a.m. July 20 at Copper Ridge Golf Course, 8475 E. Atherton Rd., in Davison Township.

“This is a great event. Everyone who has participated in the past has always enjoyed themselves. Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch (sponsored by ELGA Credit Union), dinner, and a chance to win some great prizes,” said Kirk Wilkinson, Battalion chief of Station No. 1 and organizer of the event. “There is only room for 36 teams and the roster fills up fast so anyone interested in playing needs to reg- ister as soon as possible.”

The funds raised will go to the Burton firefighters and Family Relief Fund and Davison’s Scott Yaklin scholarship fund.

There is a $75 entry fee per player and $300 per team. A free lunch provided by ELGA Credit Union is included, as well as a skins game, closest to hole, closest to pin and longest drive contests, with dinner later in the day.

Registration forms are available at Burton City Hall, 4303 S. Center Rd., and must be turned in by July 13.

Sponsorship signs are also available.
